Experience Hanmer Springs’ ultimate wedding venue; an idyllic setting with panoramic views of the Southern Alps. Amuri Estate’s Richard and Debra Orr, alongside their daughter Vanessa, have recently created a unique wedding and events venue to run alongside their luxury lodge accommodation in the beautiful alpine destination of Hanmer Springs.

The latest addition to the estate is a large reception venue. This space boasts polished concrete floors, light plywood walls, and 16 metres of glass doors, shaping the views. Facilities include a bar, kitchen and bathrooms, breakout spaces, and a reception hall for up to 200 patrons.

This is the most picturesque setting for an event or wedding, with a beautiful grassed ceremony area and an archway framing the most incredible view, surrounded by gardens and a bank of grandstand seating.

For guests staying in the lodge at the estate, they have the choice of the Molesworth, St James or Rainbow rooms. All king-sized rooms with ensuites, they are named after historic high-country stations in the area, which can also be seen from private patios outside each room.

The Wallace Peak Cottage, which sleeps two, takes its name from the mountain just behind it. The Wallace Peak cottage is the perfect place to relax in the privacy of your own self-contained space.

Amuri Estate is the ideal getaway to relax and unwind while taking in the panoramic views of majestic mountains and the braided Waiau River, with three well-appointed rooms in the lodge and a self-contained one-bedroom cottage. The quaint village of Hanmer Springs is only a stone’s throw away.

There’s nothing quite like Canterbury hospitality, and the Orr family will endeavour to make any experience and stay at Amuri Estate just the way you envisage it. They pride themselves on quality, personal service, and eminent customer satisfaction for all who stay at the estate.
