WINETOPIA IS HERE!

The very first South Island Winetopia event is arriving in Christchurch this July! With over 50 of New Zealand’s best wineries involved for 2021, offering everything from Rieslings to Pinot Noirs, Sauvignon Blancs to Syrahs. 

This was a season for the record books for vineyards around the country, despite a difficult lockdown harvest. This is your chance to try them all! Are you ready for a full schedule of tastings, talks, and fun surprises?! Step into this wonderland of wine and let us help you discover your new favourite drop. 

Get up close and personal with unique regions and their most lovingly crafted wines. Try new favourites from the likes of Craggy Range, Kari Kari Estate, Tera Sancta, Wooing Tree, and Judge Rock, and so many more. Get your hands on the newest wines on the scene right through to soon-to-be-revealed flagships. Immerse yourself in the Aotearoa wine scene and celebrate the growers and winemakers that have put this country on the vinous map. 

A massive line-up of talks, tastings, and entertainment take place across three stages at each event. The cast includes Masters Bob Campbell and Emma Jenkins. These certified ‘wine gurus’ will appear alongside a local troupe of charismatic sommeliers, renowned chefs, and restaurateurs. Each session finishes on a crescendo with a live musical act. This is no ordinary jazz quartet in the corner. More like something to blow out the cobwebs... 

The events are laid out regionally, so the day of discovery can start in Central Otago before moving on to North Canterbury, up to Marlborough and all the way to Northland, stopping off at Martinborough, Hawkes Bay, and everywhere else in between.

A selection of wineries will have their most prized possessions in tow – award-winning, palate-pleasing, cellar-worthy bottles that retail for over $100 per bottle.
