There are a lot of conflicting messages thrown at consumers when it comes to which beauty and wellness products are best to achieve real results, which can be daunting and overwhelming. Many beauty products and treatments provide a quick fix, but BHAVA believes that skin health really does come from internal health, and this holistic view has seen excellent long-lasting results.
What is BHAVA? The Sanskrit word means being or becoming. It also has origins in Buddhism, with bhava referring to emotional or habitual tendencies, which lead to the arising of the sense of self. It’s a fitting name.
BHAVA was created from a passion for well-being and beauty. Founders Kate and Kim wanted to provide a luxurious but accessible service catering to all people. As a bespoke nail bar and beauty experience located conveniently in the heart of Merivale, BHAVA is a space of sanctuary.
The duo desired to ‘create an all-encompassing destination’.

The whole team is passionate about ensuring that BHAVA’s clients look and feel their best through either regular nail treatments or as part of extensive skin health journeys. Because of this ethos, the staff build on their professional knowledge and skills on a regular basis. With a team that consists of dedicated nail technicians and qualified beauty therapists, clients can complete all of their beauty needs in one stop.
BHAVA also offers a full nail service, using the Gelish and Morgan Taylor ranges. They also offer nail enhancements. Kim mentions that nail health is of premium importance. The IBX Nail Strengthening system is popular at the salon for those with brittle or damaged nails.
“Our beauty treatment menu covers everything from maintenance essentials such as waxing and threading and lash and brow services, through to luxury treatments such as traditional massage, hot stone massage, and body scrubs. We also have an extensive range of bespoke facial treatments using either La Clinica or Osmosis Beauty skincare products. Both of these ranges are formulated for all skin conditions and ages and world-renowned for their quality ingredients and commitment to skin health.”
BHAVA’s Dermalux LED Light Therapy is a must-try – whether clients have a skin concern or for pain management or healing purposes.
The use of products free from animal testing (many of which are vegan) was important to the entire team. Where possible, the beauty products are also organic.
BHAVA’s loyalty programme is a worthwhile commitment. The salon also supports SuperGold and students with discounted treatments. They can also cater for group bookings – pre-wedding, or couples and men’s treatments and pamper sessions.
