Warm cockles

Some picks of the season, to warm your heart and soul

SNOOP’S FAV

Tucked into Little High’s new event space is Boom Boom Chicken (BBC). On top of some of the city’s most succulent chook, they have a top-notch cocktail range. Pictured is the Gin n Juice, a refreshing yet suitably seasonal mix of gin, lemon, apple, honey, and rosemary. Best served with a chicken sando or a tray of crispy, fried wings.

CHERRY BABY

Rose Rabbit Cherry, from Cardrona Distillery, is a liqueur that has matured for 10 months in five American oak barrels to make it a rich, rounded spirit. It’s deeply cherry flavoured and complemented by vanilla and coconut. With sweetness at the front, the oak adds depth to the mid-palate and finish, with notes of currant and milk chocolate.

COSY CARAMEL

The Winter Warmers are back at the Pink Lady Rooftop! Cosy cocktails that taste best wrapped in a blanket or in front of a heater. Take this Jersey Caramel vodka and Amarula liqueur cocktail, for example – it is perfectly creamy, silky smooth, and overly yummy. This is the perfect cure to your winter blues!
