Magical, memorable events
After years of designing and creating beautiful events for clients, Hayley Harding saw a gap in the market for hire furniture that was high quality, stylish, and accessible.
“I was working on events that all had similar looks, and there weren’t options for quality hire items to elevate events to ensure individuality for these important moments – so I took a chance and ordered a container of furniture,” Hayley says.
Now nearly four years and ten containers on (with an additional three on the water as we go to print), there’s no looking back! Hayley and Co was born, and now the business offers bespoke event styling services and prop hire.
Hayley is equipped with oodles of Australasian experience in the design realm, including styling for Country Road. In fact, she was encouraged to start her business after friends and family continued to ‘borrow’ her brilliant eye for design details.
Hayley’s incredible talent for design and passion for curating beautiful spaces is clear. She is adept at capturing your personality and bringing your vision to life. From concept to execution, you can be assured that every detail has been carefully considered, so your event is as magical as it is memorable.
One notable event where Hayley and her team went above and beyond was a 20th-anniversary party held at the (at the time) yet-to-be-completed BNZ Centre. Hayley mentions the lifts weren’t working as of yet, and the space had limited power – so, somewhat impressively, everything was craned up to the fifth floor. Clearly, Hayley is no stranger to working in hard hats and hi-vis vests!
Expansion is in the near future for Hayley and Co. The coming months will see growth into the Queenstown and Wānaka markets, ensuring the furniture and styling services of Hayley and Co will be accessible to the wider South Island market, something Hayley is excitedly planning for at present.
When asked for sage advice for the Avenues audience, Hayley prompts you all to “remember to celebrate things big or small”.
“Throw that party! Make those memories.”
