Christmas Encraftment Market
The Christmas Encraftment Market returns this year, with organisers promising old favourites but also plenty of new offerings, all made with love. This month, 130 stalls will fill Pioneer Stadium, creating a curated market where attendees can choose from the best quality artisan products. On offer are items such as art, jewellery, ceramics, toys and games, homeware, candles, bath and beauty products, kids’ and adults’ clothing and accessories, pet products, and indoor plants. One of the organisers, Lee Arthur, says she is excited to tick off many items on her Santa list at this year’s market. “I do a large amount of my Christmas shopping at Encraftment. It’s lovely to gift something that’s meaningfully made and can’t be found at any big mall or mass-produced. At the same time, you can feel good about helping the circular economy by buying local.”
THE SAMANTHA ROOM
Samantha creates originally illustrated stickers and watercolour cards with the hope of spreading happiness. Her motto, ‘cute stuff for nice people’, reflects her goal to brighten customers’ days. Her favourite product is the ‘positivity plasters’, which often make people smile, especially when they see the sparkly ones glisten.
LAMMERMOOR DISTILLERY
Lammermoor offers a true paddock-to-glass experience, growing certified organic barley and distilling it right on the farm. It all happens on the family station in the Maniototo. As a farming family, they take pride in crafting Whisky and Gin, bringing you quality spirits made with care. Get a taste of Lammermoor Distillery Gin and Whisky at Encraftment.
BIBBLES DRIBBLE BIBS
Joe created Bibbles in 2010 to address her son’s excessive dribbling and eczema, using 100 per cent cotton fabrics and a variety of designs. Bibbles bibs quickly became popular among parents of dribbly babies and toddlers. Joe attended the first Encraftment Market in 2011 and appreciates the love for handmade artisan products it fosters.
Christmas Encraftment Market is on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November, 10am to 4pm, Pioneer Stadium, 75 Lyttelton St, Christchurch. Entry is free.
